Finan Opticians is an independent opticians located in Derry/Londonderry city centre. We have been established for over 30 years, Caoimhe and Sinead took over the business in 2019.

We were nominated for Optician of the year and North West business of the year in the 2024 Local Woman Business Awards.

We pride ourselves on our personal service and professional care. Presently we have one full time Optometrist and one full time Dispensing Optician to ensure the best quality eyecare and eyewear for our patients.

Caoimhe Doherty

On completing her Optometry degree in Manchester in 2006, Caoimhe worked in North Wales before joining Finan Opticians in 2008.

She is a GOC Registered Optometrist, Member of the College of Optometrists and a Member of the Association of Optometrists.

Driven by a passion for improving eye health, Caoimhe creates a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and understood.

Sinead Quinn

As a dedicated Dispensing Optician working in Finan Opticians since 2007, Sinead has been transforming the way people see the world—quite literally.

Also a trained Lab Technician, Sinead completes a lot of glazing in store. She handles every step of the process with precision, from cutting and edging to inspecting and repairing.

Beyond the technical skills, Sinead is known for her warm and compassionate approach, taking the time to understand each patient's unique needs and lifestyle. Whether it's enuring a child can see the board clearly, or finding the perfect multifocal lenses for an avid reader, Sinead brings patience and professionalism to every interaction.
